Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 29, 2026

Pasado uses very few cookies, and we don't use any for tracking or advertising. This page lists exactly what we set, why, and how long it lasts. Pasado is operated by Seed Within Digital Inc. (Ontario, Canada).

1. Our approach to cookies

We've designed Pasado without behavioral analytics, advertising trackers, or cross-site tracking pixels. We don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar tools. We've never sold cookie data and we never will.

The cookies and local storage items below are the only things our website sets, and they exist for specific functional reasons.

2. Cookies and storage we use

pasado_bypass (cookie)

  • Type: strictly-necessary HTTP cookie (httpOnly, secure)
  • Set when: you visit Pasado through an authorized preview-access link during our pre-launch period
  • Expires: automatically after 24 hours
  • Purpose: enables access to our preview build during the pre-launch period; this cookie is not set during ordinary visits and will be retired when Pasado launches publicly

pasado.cookie_consent.v1 (local storage)

  • Type: localStorage item — not a cookie, never sent to our servers
  • Set when: you dismiss our cookie notice
  • Expires: persists until you clear browser storage
  • Purpose: remembers that you've already seen the cookie notice, so we don't show it on every page load

That's the complete list of what we set ourselves. If you ever see other cookies or storage items in your browser tools while on pasadoapp.com, they were either left over from a previous visit, set by a third-party service we link to (see Section 3), or set by your browser itself.

3. Third-party services

When you reach certain parts of Pasado, you may interact with services we partner with. These services manage their own cookies under their own policies:

  • Stripe — handles web subscription payments. Stripe sets cookies only when you actively reach a checkout or billing page. See Stripe's cookie policy.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — handle in-app subscription purchases on iOS and Android. These are governed by Apple and Google's own policies, not ours.
  • Supabase — provides our authentication and database backend. When you sign in to the Pasado app, Supabase manages session cookies on our behalf.

We do not control these third-party cookies. You can review their policies directly with each provider.

4. What we do NOT use

Pasado does not use:

  • Advertising cookies of any kind
  • Behavioral-analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, etc.)
  • Tracking pixels (Meta/Facebook Pixel, etc.)
  • Cross-site or cross-app tracking
  • Fingerprinting

We've never used these and have no plans to add them. If that ever changes, we'll update this page and notify you before any new tracking-related cookie is set.

5. Your controls

You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block all cookies, clear stored cookies, or block third-party cookies specifically. If you block the pasado_bypasscookie during our pre-launch period, you won't be able to access our preview build.

Clearing your browser's local storage will remove the pasado.cookie_consent.v1item, which just means you'll see our cookie notice again on your next visit.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we honor it — though for the cookies above, none of them are tracking cookies, so the signal doesn't change much in practice.

6. Changes to this policy

If we add a new cookie or storage item, we'll update this page first and explain what changed. For any new non-essential cookie, we'll give advance notice in-app or on the site.
